A business partner should be someone you can trust, be reliable, offer assistance when needed, and be ready to help solve problems, hopefully before they occur.

I certainly want to be your business partner. But I want to highlight another business partner today. Your CPA.

Your CPA should do all of the above. You should visit with your CPA at least twice a year, and preferably quarterly. Your CPA should be one of your wealth determiners. Yes, they should help you make decisions that make you money or at least save you money.

What prompted this blog, was the monthly newsletter I recieved from my CPA. You can request a copy on line at www.hodgsoncpa.com. I do not care if this newsletter is published by my CPA or if it is generated by a service. It is an added value that I receive, by choosing to do business with a professional.  It acts as a reminder, that he is available to help at any time I call, while sharing current information.

I also add value. It is what makes the difference in my clients equity build up, and investment strategy.  Doing the basics are a given. Adding value sets true business partners in a league of thier own.

Please feel free to explore my website, www.yesphil.com, and offer suggestions on what you would like to see. Until next time. See you in the marketplace.

How time flies. Ten years ago we met a young artist, John Palmer. Last week we were asked to help celebrate his success at his new studio on Heights Blvd.  John has been

Wow, how time flies. Last week we were asked to help celebrate John Palmer’s tenth anniversary as an artist. The celebration was held at his new study on Heights Blvd. It was really fun to visit with other owners of his art, and feel the energy in his newest works. Go to www.johnpalmerart.com to view some of his work.

We really enjoy having John Palmer’s work adorn our walls. Bright, cheery and always bringing a smile. Do something special for yourself, buy a piece of art, and help an artist of your choice.  Or go to John’s website and sign up for a schedule of his shows. Love to see you at an event. Just tell John, Phil sent you, and have a good time.

Wine and Food always get my attention. Now I can help Cinco Charities at the same time.  Join me Friday, August 15, 2008, 7-10 PM, Golf Club at Cinco Ranch. Wine and Food from around the world. $30. Wow! Works for me. Call me for tickets, or go to www.cincocharities.org/wine/

OK, do not laugh. This is a product that I heard about while visiting a friend in the energy business. His company is dedicated to being “green”, and savings thru energy conservation. The product is Nellie’s Dryerballs. I asked you not to laugh. This product is two nubby balls, that look like dog chew toys, that you place in your dryer. They soften fabrics naturally, non-toxic, no chemicals, by keeping clothes separated, AND SAVE ON DRYING TIME.  Estimates are from 25-50%. I found the product at www.currentenergy.com. I also found them by googling the product. Prices vary, and there are some companies with less expensive knockoffs, but it is just like Real Estate, you get what you pay for and results do vary.

Wow.  Like most of my friends I find it incredibly difficult to find time to go to the gym and workout, and then when I get there I do not know where to start. I came across the answer. www.soundbodytrainer.com gave me the tools I needed to feel focused and really stay on track. Hope it works for you.
